A journey to the heart of British power
This tour takes you from the south bank of the Thames to the very heart of the capital, on foot, at the pace of History itself. From Waterloo station, you walk along the South Bank to admire the Houses of Parliament reflected in the river, passing the London Eye.
You cross Westminster Bridge to reach Big Ben, then the lesser-known Victoria Tower Gardens — a secret riverside vantage point that hurried tourists never find. Westminster Abbey, the pantheon of kings and poets. Buckingham Palace, the King’s residence. The magnificent St James’s Park with its pelicans — yes, real pelicans, in the middle of London.
Then Whitehall and its famous Number 10 Downing Street, where the Prime Minister resides. The tour ends at Trafalgar Square, before Nelson’s Column, the bronze lions and the National Gallery — one of the world’s richest museums, and free to enter. From the river to Parliament, from monarchy to democracy — two and a half hours to understand how this kingdom shaped the modern world.
