Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your guided tour.

Booking

The simplest way is to fill in the booking form on each tour page, or to contact us directly by email at contact@visiteslondres.com. We reply within 24 hours.

We accept bank card via Stripe (secure link sent on request), bank transfer, PayPal, cash or contactless payment on the day.

Full refund for any cancellation notified in writing more than 24h before the tour. After that deadline, no refund will be given. In the event of cancellation on our part, you will be refunded in full or offered an alternative date.

Yes — tours go ahead whatever the weather. London is a city to explore in rain as in sunshine, and it is often at its most atmospheric on grey days. In the event of truly dangerous conditions (storm, weather alert), the tour will be cancelled and fully refunded.

The tours

The price covers the guided tour in French only. Not included: monument entrance fees, transport, food and drink, or gratuities.

Private tours accommodate 1 to 20 people. The tour is yours alone — at your pace, tailored to your interests. For groups of more than 20, please contact us.

Most tours last between 2h and 3h, depending on the group's pace and curiosity. The duration shown on each page is an estimate — a private tour can be adjusted to your preference.

All our tours are entirely on foot. No transport is required. The meeting point is indicated on each tour page, generally close to a tube station. If a tour exceptionally requires transport, we will let you know at the time of booking.

The meeting point is specified on each tour page. Allow a few minutes' margin — if you have difficulty finding the location, call us on +44 796 988 26 70.

Yes. Our guides hold official British qualifications, including those awarded by The Institute of Tourist Guiding, and are fully certified professionals.

Audience & accessibility

Most of our tours are very well suited to children from age 5–6, and some are particularly appreciated by younger audiences (the City, Westminster, Londinium…). Commentary is always adapted to those present. Children under 7 are free.

A few tours cover more serious subjects (criminal history, industrial heritage) and the Monarchy X rated tour is strictly for adults — if in doubt, please contact us before booking.

Yes. All our tours can be adapted for wheelchair users or people with mobility difficulties. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can adjust the route, particularly in the event of roadworks or temporary obstacles.

Yes, all our tours are designed and guided in French. That is our speciality: enabling French speakers from around the world to discover London in their own language. However, as our guides are bilingual, English or simultaneous translation — on request — is possible.

Absolutely. Private tours are flexible by nature. If you have particular interests — a historical period, a neighbourhood, a theme — mention it when booking. We are happy to adapt the route.
